Have you had a chance to discuss these symptoms with a specialist? Experiencing double vision where one eye perceives images higher than the other can be challenging. Orbital decompression surgery is often performed to alleviate symptoms of TED, such as bulging eyes and optic nerve pressure. However, this procedure may not directly address double vision resulting from muscle misalignment. In some cases, double vision can actually worsen after decompression surgery, potentially requiring additional interventions like strabismus surgery to realign the eyes.

It's essential to consult with an ophthalmologist or an oculoplastic surgeon experienced in TED to determine the most appropriate treatment for your specific condition. They can assess whether decompression surgery or other interventions would be beneficial for your double vision.
