Can I take selenium supplements while receiving Tepezza treatments for TED?

Selenium may enhance the body's response to TED treatments, including Tepezza. However, you should always consult with your healthcare provider before starting any new supplements while undergoing treatment. If approved by your doctor, the recommended dosage is typically 200 micrograms daily. Some key points to consider:

• Selenium has shown benefits particularly for mild TED cases
• It may help reduce inflammation and eye discomfort
• Side effects can occur if you exceed 400 micrograms daily
• You can also get selenium through foods like Brazil nuts, mushrooms, and tuna

Remember to discuss any supplement additions with your Tepezza treatment team to ensure safe and effective coordination of your care.

Hi Robert-During my Tepezza infusions I had leg cramps at night.
My fingernails became brittle.
My Dr. prescribed meds for my leg cramps. Otherwise I had no other symptoms.
